Terms & Conditions
Last updated:
The agreement between you and AM Partners LTD for using ArticleFM. The subscription details Apple requires us to publish are in section 4.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and AM Partners LTD, a company registered in England and Wales at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom(“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your use of the ArticleFM iPhone and iPad application (bundle identifier com.am-apps-abrarm.articlefm) and the articlefm.io website.
By downloading, creating an account in, or using ArticleFM, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ArticleFM. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.
We may update these terms — for example to reflect a change in the service or in the law. We will give you reasonable notice in the app or by email before a material change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using ArticleFM and cancel any subscription. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
2. What ArticleFM does
ArticleFM converts written articles into spoken audio. You supply a URL or text; we extract the article text, generate narration using third-party AI text-to-speech providers, and make the audio and a synced transcript available in your library, including for offline listening.
ArticleFM is an iOS application, for iPhone and iPad. It is not available on any other platform.
Text extraction and speech synthesis are automated and imperfect. We do not guarantee that every article will convert, that extraction will be complete, or that pronunciation will be correct. ArticleFM is not a substitute for reading the original where accuracy matters.
3. Your account
You need an account to convert your own articles. Without signing in you can still play the sample articles built into the app.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete Account. See Delete Your Account for what that removes.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we terminate your account other than for a serious breach, we will refund any unused portion of a paid period through Apple.
4. Subscription terms
Free tier. Every account can convert 2 articles free of charge. That is a lifetime total, not a monthly allowance. After that, converting further articles requires an active subscription. Articles already in your library remain playable.
The paid product. ArticleFM offers one auto-renewing subscription. There is no annual plan and no other tier.
- Title: ArticleFM Monthly
- Length of subscription: 1 month, auto-renewing
- Price: £4.99 per month (US$4.99 per month in the United States). Local pricing is set by App Store territory and the price shown in the App Store at the moment of purchase is the price you pay.
- What it unlocks: unlimited article conversion and access to all 25 narrator voices. The free tier is limited to 2 articles in total.
Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase. AM Partners LTD never sees or stores your payment card details.
Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of that period, at the then-current price.
How to cancel. You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase — you cannot cancel it from inside ArticleFM. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → ArticleFM → Cancel Subscription. Apple's instructions are here: support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202039. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds. Subscriptions are sold by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple and not by AM Partners LTD. We cannot issue or reverse a charge on your Apple Account. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Price changes. If we change the subscription price, Apple will notify you and ask you to agree before the new price takes effect. If you do not agree, the subscription will not renew.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or equivalent EU consumer law — including any right to cancel a distance contract. Where those rights apply, exercise them through Apple as the seller, or contact us at [email protected] and we will help.
5. Acceptable use and your content
ArticleFM is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, or broadcast the audio generated by ArticleFM.
You are responsible for the content you submit. By submitting an article you confirm that you have the right to have it converted for your own private listening, and that doing so does not breach copyright, a paywall, a licence, or a site's terms of use. Do not use ArticleFM to circumvent access controls on content you are not entitled to read.
You must not:
- submit content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
- use the service to generate audio for commercial distribution, training datasets, or resale;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- use automated means to create accounts or bypass usage limits.
Ownership. You keep whatever rights you already have in the content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and transmit that content solely to provide ArticleFM to you — including sending the text to a text-to-speech provider. That licence ends when you delete the article or your account. We do not use your content to train our own models.
Rights holders. If you believe content processed through ArticleFM infringes your rights, email [email protected] with details and we will act promptly.
The ArticleFM name, logo, software, and the built-in sample articles belong to AM Partners LTD or our licensors.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep ArticleFM available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may add, change, or remove features.
If we permanently discontinue a material paid feature during a period you have paid for, we will help you obtain a pro-rata refund through Apple for the unused part of that period.
The service depends on third parties — Apple, Google Cloud, and text-to-speech providers. Their outages will affect ArticleFM.
7. Liability
ArticleFMis provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Apple’s role
This agreement is between you and AM Partners LTD only — not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for ArticleFM or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for ArticleFM; support requests should go to [email protected]. If ArticleFM fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
AM Partners LTD is responsible for addressing any claim relating to ArticleFM, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or in Scotland or Northern Ireland, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
